About the Shoot
Why work with Kyle?
Finding a headshot photographer can be tough. It’s important to me to create an environment that’s safe, friendly, and super fun. Because if you don’t feel comfortable and at ease during your shoot, how can your personality and branding shine through in your headshots?
I get it, because I’ve been in the same boat! As an actor myself, I know how important it is to get a shot that tells your story as truthfully as possible. One that helps you brand yourself toward the narratives that compel you. One that helps you book. Oh, and it doesn’t hurt for it to be affordable as well.
So why choose me?
1. I’m an actor, too.
I’ve suffered through some bad headshot photography sessions. I won’t let the same thing happen to you! I think the best part of getting your headshots taken is that you get to do something that you already love to do - act! I share the same foundational language and understanding of how to turn narrative context into emotion and how to create an active moment. I’m here to coach you through the moment and build narrative headshots that say “Wow! Something is happening there!”
2. My headshot packages are affordable.
I won’t charge you an arm and a leg to get inside my studio. I offer various packages, so if you just want a one-look update, that’s okay! And if you’re ready for a full branding do-over, there’s an affordable option for that as well. I also offer student discounts and returning client discounts. And if you have lots of friends who need headshots, contact me to chat about referral discounts or group rates.
I don’t require you to work with a specific hair or makeup artist. You’re welcome to do so, but I actually encourage very basic hair and makeup. You should look as you would for an audition.
3. I’ve got the perfect setup & location.
My studio is among a bright and bustling collection of artists’ spaces in Hoboken, NJ. The surrounding neighborhood is full of cute coffee shops, only steps away from the Hoboken PATH train, AND my building has a parking lot! Whether you’re taking public transportation from NYC or NJ it couldn’t be easier to get to the studio.
4. My clients are booking.
Actors with my headshots have booked roles on Broadway, regional theatre, Netflix original series, commercials, touring theatre, and more.
In addition to working with actors, I have plenty of experience working with corporate and business professionals to help them rebrand or solidify on their LinkedIn and other media presence. Check out a business oriented portfolio here.
“Ah! I don’t know where to begin on how amazing this man’s services are. Not only are they extremely affordable but Kyle was so easy to work with. He reminded me of my appointment and helped me out with what outfits to wear and how to pose. This was my first time getting headshots and Kyle made it a super comfortable experience. Definitely hire him for your photoshoot needs!”
“We hired Kyle to take photos of our product line for our small business. He offered us creative, clear, and high quality photos that are perfect to use on our social media feeds and website. He made our products look incredible on camera, and listened to all of our requests. We are so appreciative of Kyle’s expertise and for the vast collection of photos that we can use to market our products.”

Where is your studio located?
My studio is located in NJ - specifically, Hoboken. It’s a convenient drive from anywhere in New Jersey, and easy to access via public transportation.
Public transport from Jersey City: My studio building is a short walk from the Hoboken PATH Station..
From Manhattan, Brooklyn, or elsewhere in NYC: Take the PATH train from downtown Manhattan to Hoboken. I’m a short walk from the station.
If you’re driving from NJ or beyond: There is ample street parking in the blocks surrounding my studio. The building also has a parking lot accessible from Newark St.
What should I wear for my session?
Solid colors (or simple patterns) are best. You don’t want your outfit to be too distracting. If you have a shirt you LOVE or feel very comfortable in, bring that. I want to capture YOU in the best way possible.
Steer away from a solid black or white shirt as to not be absorbed into the background.

How should I style my hair and makeup?
Style your hair as you normally would. Take extra care to tame any fly-aways, but don’t create an elaborate hairstyle that you would never actually have time to prepare for an audition.
Basic makeup is all you need, if wearing makeup. Keep your foundation light, and make sure that your look really looks like you!
What if I’m not an actor?
Not a problem! I’ve done headshot packages for corporate executives looking for a new LinkedIn shot, high school seniors getting ready for graduation, people desperate for new social media photos or in the midst of creating dating app profiles … and beyond. I’ve also done product photos for a candle company, a blanket company, and a pet product company. Come on down to the studio for a super fun birthday shoot, a brand new business photo, or for no reason at all!
how accessible is your studio?
My studio is on the fourth floor of the building, but does have an elevator. I keep a clean space that is regularly sanitized and am always willing to accommodate clients in any way that I can. If you have any specific needs or questions, reach out to me and I will always be happy to set a game plan :)
